About Digital Extensions
We build software that extends human expertise rather than replacing it.
Our Philosophy
Digital Extensions focuses on tools for professionals who work directly with complex source material and need precision, provenance, and control.
Our products are local-first, deterministic, and designed to keep original data pristine. Interpretation belongs to the expert. The software exists to support careful reasoning—not to automate judgment or introduce hidden inference.
Digital Extensions is the creator of Corpus Review, an evidence-first analysis workspace for legal and investigative professionals working with large document sets.

About the Team
We are a small group of practitioners whose careers span software development, legal practice, higher education, and applied research. Across those domains, we share a commitment to evidence-first thinking, careful reasoning, and building systems that are clear, dependable, and humane.
Our work includes many years of professional software engineering, alongside extensive legal and academic experience: from private practice and in-house legal roles, through senior university teaching and research, to drafting and reviewing complex contracts, regulatory materials, and policy guidance. That experience has contributed to published research, innovative teaching and assessment methods, and participation in the development of European clinical guidelines intended to standardize care across institutions.
This background directly shapes Corpus Review. The system reflects habits learned in law, academia, and engineering alike: working from primary sources, making reasoning explicit, and treating structure and provenance as first-class concerns. Like a well-played game of chess, progress depends less on shortcuts than on understanding position, sequence, and consequence.
Our perspective is also informed by time spent outside formal roles—caring for family members, working with clinicians and policymakers, and engaging directly with real-world constraints where clarity and accountability matter deeply.
Outside of work, we recharge in different ways: time on the California coast and walking the moors of Northumbria, a fondness for animals of all kinds (especially dogs and cows), and ongoing interests in mathematics, philosophy, and chess—each, in its own way, a study in structure, patience, and meaning.
